What resonates most to me about Meals On Wheels Atlanta is remembering my grandfather. For the last seven or eight years of his life he was in a wheelchair, and I would come over
after school to cook his meals for him or bathe him. Many years later, I was invited to an SCS event called A Meal to Remember at the St. Regis Hotel. It really reminded me how
hard it can be for people in their to do things for themselves as they get older. These days I go out of my way to tell everyone I meet in Atlanta about Meals on Wheels. After
all, everybody deserves at least a warm meal.
