Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta (SCS) was created in 1965 following a study conducted by The Community Council of the Atlanta Area, Inc. (the United Way), that found no existing agency in the Atlanta area served or was interested in expanding current services to meet the needs of the aging population. SCS emerged in response to that need and has remained on the cutting edge of senior services for more than 40 years.
